About The Position
Spang Engineered Solutions, a division of Spang & Company, has an opening for a Manufacturing Technician at its location in Pittsburgh, PA. This position will be responsible for assembling small to large electronic components from drawings, schematics, and technical manuals. Spang Engineered Solutions designs and manufactures custom inductive components for an array of industries including renewable energy, solar, medical, aerospace, automotive, and military. Our manufacturing locations include Pittsburgh, PA, Phoenix, AZ, McKinney, TX, in the U.S.A., and Xiamen, China.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electronics Technology, Industrial Automation Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Soldering and braising experience.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Strong attention to detail when assembling and testing electronic components.
Nice To Haves
- IPC certification
Responsibilities
- Assembling small to large electronic components from drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Winding wire and foil.
- Soldering wire.
- Braising copper foil.
- Repairing or replacing defective components.
- Applying insulation.
- Connecting wiring.
- Testing electrical parts and components.
- Performing cycle counts of component and finished parts.
