About The Position

Entegris is currently seeking a talented and motivated Manufacturing Technician to join its Gas Operations production team in Danbury, CT. This person would work as a key member of a small specialty gas production team and will also be a contributor to a larger operations group. The person in this role would take directions from a qualified Technician and report directly to the Production Supervisor. Danbury Specialty Gas Operations is a dynamic and fast-paced environment where safety is paramount. The ideal candidate for this role would be someone who enjoys being part of a strong team, is dedicated to continuous improvement, and has some experience of working safely with hazardous materials, while maintaining a focus on meeting and exceeding production goals. The person in this role will be part of a small, high functioning production team collaboration and communication is vital to success in this position. Production schedules for our products are aggressive and reliant on all team members. This person must be someone who can be counted on to ensure that production runs smoothly.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing/operations environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Must be able to work fully on site
  • Experience processing and completing work orders per production schedule
  • Good time management skills
  • Experienced with SAP, Microsoft office

  • Some experience of working safely with hazardous materials

Responsibilities

  • Support new gas cylinder manufacturing, component functionality testing and quality checks.
  • Support subassembly manufacturing via orbital welding (training and certification provided onsite).
  • Support gas cylinder refurbishment, finished good functionality testing and processing.
  • Train and become proficient in all aspects of cylinder build, orbital welding for subassembly manufacturing, and subassembly component testing.
  • Meet and exceed production demand.
  • Demonstrate a dedication to safety excellence.
  • Safely operate powered hand tools, measuring tools, gauges, welding equipment and media blasters.
  • Experience working safely with hazardous materials, using PPE.
  • Clean and maintain equipment and work areas (5S).
  • Complete work orders per production schedule.
