About The Position

The primary responsibility of the Manufacturing Technician is to test/assemble Counter UAS (C-UAS) systems and products in our manufacturing facility following released engineering drawings and assembly instructions.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Minimum of 1 - 2 years of experience in a manufacturing production environment or R&D fabrication lab
  • Previous work within ESD, FOD and cleanroom environments
  • Experience with hand tools, including crimpers, drills, taps, torque wrenches, power tools and air tools is required
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics
  • Must have good manual dexterity and basic computer operation skills
  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with employees in the Company
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail with ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
  • Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Vocational training in a manufacturing trade is preferred
  • J-STD-001 class II or higher solder experience.
  • Work with engineering on new product development efforts where documentation and assembly instructions are not yet finalized
  • Complete assigned tasks under minimal supervision and show problem solving skills
  • Able to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, where small teams share a broad variety of duties
  • Displays strong initiative and drive to accomplish goals shared by the team
  • Takes ownership and responsibility for current and past work products

Responsibilities

  • Construction of mechanical and electrical assemblies using hand and precision tools
  • Final assembly of systems with the use of heavy equipment such as cranes and forklifts
  • Testing and troubleshooting of sub-assemblies and final assemblies
  • Electrical wiring fabrication / soldering of components and wiring
  • Light machining and fabrication of metal and composite parts
  • Working with other production technicians and engineering to correct and improve upon any documentation, electrical and mechanical designs.
  • Working with manufacturing engineers to improve assembly efficiency, improve product quality, reduce manufacturing costs and validate released assembly/ fabrication documentation
  • Responsible for ensuring that work tracking paperwork is completed as the work is performed
  • May also train other technicians in build and testing process
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Other duties as assigned
