About The Position

As part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, the Manufacturing Technician II contributes to the company’s mission to help make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. The role is based at the Charlotte, NC manufacturing facility, which produces Hollow Fiber Membrane Bobbins. The technician operates and maintains manufacturing equipment, follows safety and quality protocols, and collaborates with team members to troubleshoot and resolve issues. The work involves standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and operating machinery in a dynamic environment that may include varying temperatures and noise.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Outstanding attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to determine and implement solutions.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, including drug screening.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work overtime.

• Previous experience in manufacturing or a related field.
• Familiarity with continuous extrusion or textile knitting operations.
• Experience collaborating on safety and quality regulations.
