Manufacturing Technician II

MytraBrisbane, CA
$33 - $38Onsite

About The Position

As a Manufacturing Technician at Mytra, you will join our Manufacturing and Operations team during a period of rapid industrialization and scaling as we transition from an early warehouse into a proper, full-scale manufacturing operation. Our team is currently focused on launching our Engineering Validation Test (EVT) phase and ramping up to steady-state rate production, and we need an energetic, electronics-focused specialist to help us build, test, and safely scale our advanced robotic systems.

Requirements

  • Proven experience with core electronics assembly and handling, including PCBs/PCBAs, wire harnesses, server racks, and power supply/battery charging units.
  • Relevant knowledge of reading engineering drawings, interpreting metric/imperial tolerances, measuring components for conformity, and operating precision shop tools (e.g., torque wrenches, electrical crimpers, power tools).
  • Demonstrate an agile, growth-oriented mindset with a strong willingness to learn, adapt, and rotate across different tasks and responsibilities under tight timelines.
  • Possess the physical capability to lift or move at least 50 pounds and stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time in a manufacturing environment.
  • Available to work the projected 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM shift (initial schedule, subject to change).

Nice To Haves

  • A background or technical training in mechatronics, robotics, or high-volume electro-mechanical manufacturing.
  • Experience with high-level enthusiast PC building or custom electronics modifications at scale.
  • Deep technical expertise matching an (Senior) level, with an ability to mentor developing technicians and optimize production workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Drive EVT & Prototyping: Hit the ground running during our Engineering Validation Test (EVT) phase, supporting heavy prototyping and collaborating with both test and production teams on advanced custom configurations.
  • Build the Production Floor: Assist in establishing our manufacturing infrastructure during your first 90 days by building workstations, assembling benches, cutting pipe, and laying out tools.
  • Assemble & Provision Core Electronics: Perform intricate electro-mechanical assembly with a primary focus on electronics, including PCB/PCBA handling, bring-up, provisioning, wire harnessing, and server rack assembly.
  • Execute Rate Production: Transition from initial ramp-up to hitting a consistent production rate (targeting approximately one unit per day), ensuring all builds adhere strictly to SOPs and quality guidelines.
  • Inspect & Optimize: Inspect materials, utilize precision tools, collect data on components in-process, and partner with Manufacturing Engineers to improve overall process efficiency, reliability, and quality.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation and equity grants at a high-growth company backed by top-tier VCs
  • Fully subsidized health coverage, including medical (baseline plans), dental, and vision for employees and dependents
