A Day in the Life We anticipate the application window for this opening will close on - 23 May, 2026 This position supports Medtronic’s Spine and Biologics manufacturing operations in Warsaw, Indiana, a key site dedicated to producing advanced spinal implant technologies that help restore mobility, stabilize the spine, and improve patient outcomes worldwide. The Warsaw facility plays a critical role in delivering high‑precision implants used in complex spinal procedures, and this role contributes directly to the quality and traceability of those devices through laser marking and manufacturing support. In this exciting role as a Laser Manufacturing Technician, you will be responsible for programming and operating FOBA and Electrox laser systems used to mark spinal implants and components. This role includes maintaining the laser program database, fixtures, and marking parameters, ensuring compliance with device identification and quality requirements. The technician monitors laser operations, troubleshoots equipment or marking issues, and supports continuous improvement efforts to maintain efficient and reliable production. With a strong focus on precision, quality, and regulatory compliance, this role helps ensure accurate device marking and supports the smooth operation of the manufacturing process Onsite: At Medtronic, we bring bold ideas forward with speed and decisiveness to put patients first in everything we do. We’re working a minimum of 5 days a week onsite as part of our commitment to fostering a culture of professional growth and cross-functional collaboration as we work together to engineer the extraordinary. This position is a 1st Shift position with working hours of 7am-3pm Monday-Friday with OT as needed either daily or on Saturdays.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience required
  • Requires a high school diploma

Nice To Haves

  • Experience programming and operating FOBA laser marking systems , including creating and modifying laser marking programs, adjusting parameters for different materials, and supporting fixture setup and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Devises, fabricates, installs, tests, and repairs mechanical equipment and systems involving the movement of physical components in the manufacturing area.
  • Assisting engineers with developing technical solutions related to the operation and performance of devices and systems.
  • Installs, repairs, and upgrades components of mechanical devices and systems in the manufacturing area.
  • Devises, fabricates, and assembles new or modified mechanical components for machinery and equipment.
  • Conducts quality assurance/control tests and procedures.
