About The Position
As an Manufacturing Tech 2 at MKS, you will partner with Manufacturing Engineers to assist with New Product Introductions (NPI). In this role, you will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1 year of manufacturing or engineering support experience
- Experience in a production or industrial environment
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with Visual Factory or other Process development instruction systems is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes (assembly, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Assist manufacturing engineers with process development, improvement, and validation
- Support production floor activities, including troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues
- Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, SOPs, and process flow diagrams
- Assist in implementing lean manufacturing initiatives (5S, Kaizen, continuous improvement)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as quality, maintenance, and supply chain
- Assist with new product introductions (NPI) and engineering change implementation
