ClarkDietrich, a leading manufacturer of cold-formed steel framing and interior and exterior finishing products in North America, is seeking a Manufacturing Team Member for their Pasadena, TX location. This role involves safely setting up, operating, and adjusting metal forming equipment using appropriate tools and procedures.   • Ability to read a tape measure, caliper, and micrometer accurately.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Military equivalent recognized in lieu of education and/or experience.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and adjust metal forming equipment using appropriate tools and procedures.
  • Keep mill operating according to operating procedures and in good condition.
  • Operate cutback saw safely and according to order specifications.
  • Keep mill and surrounding area clean and clear of obstructions.
  • Perform all changeovers using appropriate tooling.
  • Change punches and shear dies.
  • Meet machine performance goals.
  • Assist in training co-workers.
  • Demonstrate ability to work in a team environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Work safely and follow all safety rules and operational procedures.
  • Perform Lockout Procedure as required.
  • Wear and maintain all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Understand the operation of all safety devices.
  • Notify management of any malfunctioning or missing safety devices before machine operation.
  • Perform quality checks, including measuring length, width, and hole spacing with a tape measure.
  • Measure product thickness periodically using a micrometer.
  • Perform routine checks for straightness, bow, and camber.
  • Perform routine checks for part dimensions using appropriate tools.
  • Maintain all quality paperwork legibly.
  • Perform routine maintenance and notify maintenance personnel of any machine issues.
  • Assist maintenance personnel as directed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work station.
  • Assist material handler with changing coils and follow reject policy.
  • Direct, assist, and train helpers.
  • Complete required paperwork to specification.
