About The Position

Operate and maintain equipment in a manufacturing environment, contributing to plant targets for safety, quality, efficiency, and cost reduction. The role works within a team to follow and improve standardized processes, resolve process abnormalities, complete required documentation, and support continuous improvement. Employees are also expected to understand company policies and procedures and foster trust, cooperation, and teamwork.

Requirements

Ability to communicate and work well with others in a group environment.
Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills in English.
Basic math skills.
Ability to stand and work on feet for long periods.
Occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.

Nice To Haves

One to two years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
High school diploma or G.E.D.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain equipment in a manufacturing environment.
Follow standardized work procedures and the work sequence for each process.
Work with the team to improve standardized processes and methods, identify and eliminate waste, and standardize improved processes.
Take direct responsibility for the performance of the assigned work area.
Participate in team projects focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost improvement.
Complete required working documentation, records, and reports.
Understand and follow company policies and procedures.
Proactively and reactively resolve process abnormalities.
Promote employee relations based on trust and teamwork and cooperate with other team members.
Identify and suggest continuous process improvements.
Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
