About The Position

The Gund Company has an immediate opening for a full-time Manufacturing Team Lead to join our team! This role is responsible for managing resources including operators, equipment, and materials, ensuring the flow of work through the shop, and providing technical training to operators. The position also requires the ability to operate all machinery, and perform complex machining, set-ups, and programming.

Requirements

Ability to operate, set-up, and program all machinery in the department.
Strong basic math skills and the ability to use measuring tools (tape measures, calipers, micrometers, etc.).
Flexibility to work overtime and adjust to emergency production needs.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or GED with prior hands on, vocational or job-related course work/training, or any similar combination of education and experience.
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with reading blueprints and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

Lead daily production activities and support operators.
Train and mentor team members.
Complete work orders accurately and efficiently.
Promote safety, quality, teamwork, and company values.
Identify process improvement opportunities.
Ensure tools and equipment are safe and ready for use.
Set up and operate a variety of manufacturing equipment.
Perform machining and production tasks to required specifications and tolerances.
Conduct in-process quality inspections.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Serve as a technical resource and team leader for operators.
Train and develop less experienced operators and participate in their development in partnership with VSM.
Complete work order paperwork and demonstrate an outstanding record of quality, efficiency, and productivity.
Other duties as assigned.
