About The Position

Our site in Colorado Springs, CO - Rockrimmon is seeking a Manufacturing Systems and Planning Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2027 season. This assignment is intended to be full-time, 6 months in duration beginning in January. The Manufacturing Systems and Planning team exists at the crossroads of manufacturing capability and execution. We are seeking support in implementation of existing functionality, development of new capability, and operations coordination.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Experience with ERP system (SAP Preferred)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Desire to learn, ask questions, and enable collective success.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing environment and desire work directly with operations team.
  • Pursuing bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations Management or a related field.
  • Graduation years 2027-2029
  • Must be a currently enrolled student
  • Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in January through June
  • Must be familiar with the university’s requirements to participate in a co-op program

Responsibilities

  • Consistent and direct engagement with operations team to ensure system capabilities are fully understood and utilized.
  • Analyze current workflows and identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
  • Assist in the design and validation of system flows, user interfaces, and data structures.
  • Engage in material genealogy analysis, ensuring system transactions are accurate across materials, quality, and operations performance data.
  • Partner with global teams to help evaluate solutions and support the implementation of new system capabilities at the site.
  • Supporting Manufacturing Planning team with work order management and materials management.
  • Validation and alignment of procurement plans to support cascaded finished good forecast.
  • Support Inventory Control team with inventory accuracy and integrations between and MES and SAP.
