About The Position

Our site in Colorado Springs, CO - Rockrimmon is seeking a Manufacturing Systems Engineer Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2027 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration. Entegris is digitizing operations and increasingly adding automation to our manufacturing capabilities. As a member of our Global Supply Chain team, you will be working with our plant teams to lead transformation of existing processes to be set up in a digital system to enable enhanced visibility, process improvement, and advanced analysis.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with manufacturing environments and solving manufacturing problems with data
  • Problem Solving Ability: Starting from an end goal and working back through known information to solve problems and address challenges
  • Keen to Model / Quantify real world processes in digital, discrete methods
  • Ability to communicate technical information and understand & address stakeholder concerns
  • Experience working with databases, data communication protocols, and data visualization tools
  • Leadership to organize problems, drive progress, and deliver solutions
  • A drive to understand the big picture of how systems work
  • Must be a currently enrolled student
  • Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in January through June
  • Must be familiar with the university’s requirements to participate in a co-op program

Nice To Haves

  • Industrial Engineering or Chemical Engineering or Systems Engineering or Comp Sci / IT / Similar
  • Graduating 2028 is target or Master’s students also would be feasible

Responsibilities

  • Drive user engagement and adoption of manufacturing systems by partnering with site teams to understand needs and identify opportunities for increased value delivery.
  • Learn Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), process control technologies, and manufacturing analytics tools to support digital manufacturing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with site end users to gather feedback, understand challenges, and identify enhancement opportunities.
  • Evaluate and prioritize improvement opportunities based on business impact and value potential.
  • Support the delivery of manufacturing systems projects through requirements gathering, testing, training, and post-implementation support.
  • Develop and deliver training materials and user education sessions to increase system adoption and effectiveness.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, user guides, process flows, and standard operating procedures.
  • Model manufacturing processes within Manufacturing Execution Systems to support production operations.
  • Execute testing and validation activities to ensure solutions meet business and operational requirements.
  • Monitor project progress and communicate key achievements, risks, and next steps to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Participate in application support activities, troubleshooting issues and assisting users with system-related questions.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify innovative ways to leverage manufacturing technologies and drive operational excellence.
  • Help expand team capacity by supporting ongoing initiatives, process improvements, and project execution.
