This co-op role involves supporting and promoting a strong safety culture within the manufacturing environment. The position focuses on achieving critical success factors such as safety, quality, delivery, lead-time, cost/inventory management, and cost of quality. Responsibilities include supporting the development and qualification of new procedures and processes, acting as a manufacturing support interface with Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to address manufacturability issues, and participating in Lean implementation. The role also involves driving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by analyzing data, implementing root-cause solutions for non-conformances, identifying and facilitating process improvements to increase throughput, and coordinating production and quality activities to meet customer expectations. The co-op will also participate in the development of capital plans and the implementation of new capital technology.
