About The Position

Looking for a Manufacturing Supervisor to supervise and direct manufacturing personnel and resources to ensure efficient and on-time delivery of product while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in supervisory or management role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, motivation, and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to express concepts effectively, both written and verbal.
  • Strong multitasking skills and the ability to work in a highly dynamic and growing environment.
  • Detail oriented with a high level of emphasis on accuracy and completeness.
  • Must be familiar with and be able to read mechanical (machining) drawings and specifications.
  • Must have a solid grasp of manufacturing workflow and machining processes.

Responsibilities

  • Program, assist with programming to help in the utilization and development of their direct reports and work closely with the programming department to make sure they are being fully utilized as a resource.
  • Work closely with Engineering and Quality to ensure the best methods are being utilized to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Identify, develop, and implement training opportunities for department employees to enhance skills, improve performance, and support career growth.
  • Directly manage department personnel, including annual performance reviews, pay increases, authorization of overtime and PTO, verbal, and written disciplinary action.
  • Support management decision-making by communicating production goals, operational priorities, and policy changes to shop floor teams, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Plan, assign, and direct daily duties for manufacturing personnel, controlling allocation of resources to maintain production deadlines.
  • Manage department asset scheduling and planning adjustments such as expediting operations which have fallen behind schedule.
  • Provide proactive communication with Management, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and other support functions to prevent unforeseen events which may contribute to manufacturing delays and/or quality issues.
  • Manage daily shift turn-over.
  • Participate in the recruiting, hiring and training of new employees.
  • Participate in SOP and safety training.
  • Ensure that all employees work in accordance with company SOPs and industry standards.
  • Ensure that there is always a clean and safe work environment which meets medical device and OSHA standards.
  • Execute setup and/or operation of manufacturing equipment.
  • Ensure equipment preventive maintenance and daily housekeeping standards are completed.
  • Lead by example; accountable for their actions and the actions of their direct reports.
