About The Position

Albany Engineered Composites (AEC) designs, develops, and manufactures advanced composite components to help customers push the frontiers of innovation. AEC's core strength is its ability to produce highly tailored, complex composite components using a unique blend of products, including 3D woven structures, traditional and nontraditional 2D composite structures, and discrete through thickness reinforcement technologies. The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for a major portion of production goals in the plant, overseeing daily operations in their work area, including maintenance, safety, quality control, scheduling, and personnel. This role also involves promoting good community and customer relations, participating in hiring, employee evaluations, and salary and bonus programs in accordance with corporate policies.

Requirements

High School Diploma
5-1 years of diverse professional experience In all areas of Manufacturing
1+ years of previous lead or supervisory responsibilities.
Must be a US Person.

Responsibilities

Accomplishes tasks mainly through direct supervision of non-exempt and entry-level exempt employees.
Directs daily operations of work area.
Assignments are largely established in accordance with schedules and deliverables.
Decisions have a direct impact on work unit operations. Erroneous decisions or recommendations or failure to achieve results might cause delays in schedules.
Interacts daily with subordinates and/or peers within similar and/or related functions primarily for the purpose of presenting and exchanging information.
Provide Advanced Manufacturing assessments to management through the IPD process.
Identifies capital equipment requirements and implementation plan.
May instruct or direct some daily activities of more junior engineers.
