About The Position

This role is for a Manufacturing Supervisor in Charlotte, a rapidly growing region with a strong economic outlook. The position offers the opportunity to shape the next generation of employee-owners, set manufacturing standards, and build a team. The company is expanding its Panel operations and seeks a leader to develop talent, strengthen systems, and grow with the city. The company is 100% employee-owned and focuses on making electric power safer, more reliable, and more economical.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of leadership experience
  • Demonstrated ability to model SEL Values to others
  • Ability to communicate professionally, respectfully and openly to a diverse audience.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and delegate work; intervene to remove obstacles as needed.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and product flow for up and downstream areas.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and department's business systems (Lotus Notes, Dynamics AX, SQS, etc.)
  • Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
  • Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
  • Background check results satisfactory to SEL
  • Negative drug test result(s)

Nice To Haves

  • College degree (BS or BA)
  • Supervisory experience or training
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and department's business systems (Lotus Notes, Dynamics AX, SQS, etc.)

  • Apply root cause analysis and continuous improvement tools to investigate and resolve quality issues within the production area.
  • Promote a culture of safety by reinforcing standards and actively supporting the implementation of safety initiatives.
  • Model, teach, and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
