About The Position

The Manufacturing Supervisor provides front-line leadership for 3rd shift manufacturing operations, ensuring the safe, quality-compliant, and efficient production of medical devices. This role is responsible for developing and leading a high-performing team, achieving production, quality, and cost objectives, and driving a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. The supervisor partners closely with Scheduling planning, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to ensure the right capacity, volume, and product mix are available to meet customer demand while supporting operational excellence and employee development. Requirements

  • Understands basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching and process execution.
  • Requires advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
  • Requires 1+ years of experience with a high school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement experience and implementing Lean Manufacturing Projects.
  • Six Sigma background or certification.
  • Familiarity with cleanroom or regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with CMMS systems (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo, eMaint).
  • Exposure to automation/PLC troubleshooting or equipment maintenance basics.
  • Knowledge and experience in Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Barcode labor tracking/material tracing, Statistical Process Control (SPC)/Defect tracking, FDA, ISO, and Device History Record (DHR) requirements and regulations, Just-In-Time (JIT) inventory practices, Good Manufacturing Practices, OSHA and basic Cost Accounting.
  • Technical background in Project Management, cost accounting

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives.
  • Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply.
  • Plans and administers procedures and budgets.
  • Makes budgetary recommendations on capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor.
  • Selects and develops personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the production function.
  • Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas.
