About The Position

Raytheon is hiring a Manufacturing Operations Supervisor, who works independently monitors manufacturing operations by analyzing cell performance and productivity. The successful candidate is driven, organized, collaborative, and adaptable. Coordinates scheduling activities and sequencing of work. Works across operations disciplines and support groups. The Supervisor will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and communicating status on work and is empowered to escalate and clear barriers to progress. In this role, the Supervisor will balance hands on work inside the factory environment and communication outside of the factory. The Supervisor develops procedures for economical mass production in cooperation with engineering and production departments. Reviews support requirements and recommend tools and procedure processes. May make recommendations concerning acquisition and use of new technological equipment and materials. While managing factory services/communications you will oversee and coordinate work with teams ranging from factory services, tool cribs, machine shops, tooling group, adhesive mix lab & factory communications team. This role is dynamic and will include working with all support functions such as PCMC, engineering & supply chain to ensure clear communication is being given to C&SP factory. This position is for 1st shift.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience .
  • Experience working in manufacturing, Operations, Planning, Production, and /or Quality environments.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

  • Manages small projects or processes.
  • Works autonomously with limited oversight from manager.
  • Coaches and reviews the work of area technicians.
  • Collect status and barriers to enable effective shift handoffs and communication to factory supervision.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects to reduce cycle times and increase throughput in work cells.
  • Provide team leadership and model behaviors including adherence to policies and factory rules, timely completion of required training, and attention to detail
  • Identifies cost reduction and process improvement opportunities to ensure efficiency of operations and cost effectiveness.
  • Coordinates scheduling activities to ensure smooth operations and optimal use of facilities.
  • Leverages analysis on cell performance and productivity to maximize productivity.
  • Manage vendor relationships and service contracts.
  • Conducts MSALT & MSIS meetings with management and support functions.
  • Work with vendors to for timely monthly deliveries and procurement scheduling.
  • Dynamic environment, meaning must be able to rotate between labs and support numerous teams.
