What impact you’ll make? As a member of the Hot Gas Path COE Materials team, you will be an active contributor and process owner as the Production Control Leader (PCL) for designated buckets value streams to strategically build schedules and align business partners to achieve planned production. The PCL will demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for production control across Greenville’s Buckets cell for assigned value streams. In this role, you will own fulfillment for your focus area and the related KPIs. You will utilize your experience and expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and drive improvements to tools and processes pertaining to production control.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or high school diploma / GED and at least 5 years of experience in working in a manufacturing environment)
  • At least 3 additional years of materials, planning and scheduling, or inventory experience OR a high school diploma / GED with at least 9 years of experience in Manufacturing, Quality, Materials, Inventory Management or Production Planning and Control.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future
  • This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment

Responsibilities

  • Manage master planning, material processes and systems, prepare and update production schedules and purchasing needs.
  • Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs.
  • Optimize inventory and process improvements.
  • Utilize Lean tools and methods to develop optimized planning and scheduling requirements.
  • Utilize a Pull system for designated value chains to facilitate daily management and drive connected flow.
  • Lead the cross-functional teams in executing the production schedule and slot plans in a way that meets customer needs, business goals, and maximizes supply chain velocity.
  • Lead all scheduling and processes to ensure customer demands are met on time.
  • Develop and drive schedules, recovery plans, and prioritizations across your focus area to ensure customer fulfillment while maximizing business impact.
  • Develop and implement a common set of KPIs, tools and practices to drive accountability across all functions of the organization.
  • Drive a culture of rigor around planning and scheduling processes and execution across the supply chain network to achieve 100% Budget Attainment and On Time Delivery for promised supply.
  • Work closely with the operations and finance teams to provide periodic fulfillment estimates to the business.
  • Mentor and empower team members in the attainment of goals with respect to schedule adherence.
  • Work collaboratively with other leaders to effectively meet Materials Team goals and objectives. Including Gas SIOP leaders, Inventory leader, Materials Managers, Operations Leaders, LCOE, etc.
  • Facilitate positive communication rhythms with key stakeholders such as Operations Leaders and Material Managers by participating in initiatives to align materials management strategies with business goals and objectives.
