About The Position

The Technician I, Product Test & Calibration sets up, maintains, operates, tests, and inspects products, and repairs equipment in compliance with finished product specifications. The role works to minimize scrap, promote workplace safety, provide process information to management so production equipment can be optimized or corrected, facilitate workflow, and maintain production. Product Test & Calibration sets up, aligns, monitors, and/or calibrates production equipment and may perform machine maintenance and clean minor chemical spills and equipment. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The position pays $19.45 per hour, including shift differential, and is not bonus eligible. Requirements

0–1 years of experience preferred.
High school diploma, GED, equivalent, or equivalent work experience preferred.
Maintain appropriate licenses, training, and certifications.
Follow standard operating procedures and quality guidelines; work under close supervision, with work reviewed for accuracy.

Responsibilities

Set up production machines and ancillary equipment according to procedures and product specifications.
Monitor machinery and production goals during the shift and adjust as needed.
Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions; arrange or complete repairs.
Perform preventive maintenance as assigned by the supervisor and according to the preventive maintenance schedule.
Complete finished-product documentation according to established guidelines.
Interpret data and confer with management to determine required standards.
Select products for inspection at specified production stages and perform inspections against required characteristics.
Transport hazardous waste to required areas.
Complete annual refresher training.
Help maintain workplace safety and minimize scrap generation.
