About The Position

The Technician I, Product Test & Calibration sets up, maintains, operates, tests, and inspects products and repairs equipment to meet finished-product specifications. The role helps minimize scrap, promotes workplace safety, provides process information to management to support equipment optimization or correction, and facilitates workflow to maintain production.

Product Test & Calibration sets up, aligns, monitors, and/or calibrates production equipment. The work may also include machine maintenance and cleanup of minor chemical spills, glassware, ovens, and other equipment.

This position works from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Sunday through Thursday. The pay rate is $19.45 per hour, including shift differential; the position is not bonus eligible.

Requirements

• 0–1 years of experience preferred.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
• Maintain appropriate licenses, training, and certifications.
• Apply basic skills and techniques to routine tasks; follow established procedures and quality guidelines, and obtain supervisor approval for deviations.

Responsibilities

• Set up production machines and ancillary equipment according to procedures and product specifications.
• Monitor machinery and production goals during the shift and adjust as needed.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, and arrange or complete repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance as assigned by the supervisor and according to the maintenance schedule.
• Complete finished-product documentation according to established guidelines.
• Interpret data and confer with management to determine required standards.
• Select products for evaluation at specified production stages and perform inspections against required characteristics.
• Transport hazardous waste to required areas.
• Complete annual refresher training.
