About The Position

Insitu is seeking a Manufacturing Repair Technician to perform assembly, disassembly, repair, installation, and/or inspection tasks. This role involves testing and calibration of electrostatic discharge (ESD) stations and other test equipment, programming air vehicle and ground control station (GCS) systems, and reviewing/updating technical documentation. The technician will also maintain test and calibration tools and equipment, perform simple measurements, and utilize hand and/or power tools.

Requirements

  • High School diploma and 2 years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of air vehicle maintenance processes, policies, culture, and standard practices.
  • Knowledge of assembly and production processes, manufacturing capabilities and data needed for delivery configurations.
  • Knowledge of parts, materials and processes related to electrical, electronic, electro-mechanical and electro-optical components.
  • Knowledge of electrical safety practices (e.g., lockout-tag out, personal protective equipment, grounding).
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret engineering drawings and specifications (e.g., blueprint/schematic reading, specification, change, design).
  • Complete knowledge of shop processes to include Foreign Object Damage/Debris (FOD) prevention, material handling, safety, calibration requirements and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD).
  • Knowledge of Unmanned Air Vehicle Systems (UAS) to include air vehicle, ground segments (e.g., ground stations and mission plans) and supportability.
  • Knowledge of computer systems.
  • Ability to use and learn different software platforms.
  • Must be able to work onsite full time in Bingen, WA.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with networking, command line, serial communications, imaging, Windows 10, Microsoft office is a plus.
