About The Position

Insitu is seeking a Manufacturing Repair Technician. Qualified candidates will have experience with performing assembly, disassembly, repair, installation and/or inspection tasks. This role involves the testing and calibration of electrostatic discharge (ESD) stations and other test equipment, programming air vehicle and ground control station (GCS) systems, and reviewing and updating technical documentation. The technician will also maintain test and calibration tools and equipment, perform simple measurements, and utilize and maintain hand and/or power tools.

Requirements

  • High School and 2 years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of air vehicle maintenance processes, policies, culture, and standard practices (e.g., return to service, normal duties/responsibilities, time constraints, available resources) in order to effectively represent the operator within the company.
  • Knowledge of assembly and production processes, manufacturing capabilities and data needed for delivery configurations.
  • Knowledge of parts, materials and processes related to electrical, electronic, electro-mechanical and electro-optical components.
  • Knowledge of electrical safety practices (e.g., lockout-tag out, personal protective equipment, grounding).
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret engineering drawings and specifications (e.g., blueprint/schematic reading, specification, change, design).
  • Complete knowledge of shop processes to include Foreign Object Damage/Debris (FOD) prevention, material handling, safety, calibration requirements and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD).
  • Knowledge of Unmanned Air Vehicle Systems (UAS) to include air vehicle, ground segments (e.g., ground stations and mission plans) and supportability.
  • Knowledge of computer systems.
  • Ability to use and learn different software platforms.
  • Must be able to work onsite full time in Bingen, WA.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with networking, command line, serial communications, imaging, Windows 10, Microsoft office is a plus.
