About The Position

This isn’t a “watch and learn” internship—you’ll own projects and see them through. You’ll focus on improving inspection and quality processes across key manufacturing work centers. You will gain shop floor experience, working directly with operators, engineers, and quality teams to see how your ideas translate into real-world improvements. We believe internships should be meaningful, engaging, and fun. Requirements

Pursuing a Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related degree
Completed at least 1 year of college coursework
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Interest in manufacturing, quality, and continuous improvement
Comfortable working both independently and on the shop floor

Nice To Haves

Strong writing skills or interest in improving documentation (especially using digital tools or AI)

Responsibilities

Optimize Inspection Requirements: Identify and eliminate inspection-related waste, evaluate current inspection methods, notes, and capabilities, and conduct studies to validate and improve process effectiveness.
Drive Process Improvement: Recommend practical upgrades to inspection capabilities, support Lean initiatives and Continuous Improvement (CIF) projects, and select and lead improvement projects from start to finish.
Simplify & Improve Documentation: Audit and streamline approximately 500 controlled documents (Work Instructions/JIs), reduce duplication and consolidate overlapping content, and use tools (including AI) to modernize documentation.
Gain Shop Floor Experience: Work directly with operators, engineers, and quality teams to see how your ideas translate into real-world improvements.
