About The Position

Flexco, a leading global manufacturer, is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer who has demonstrated success in quality inspections, developing quality standards and internal audits. This role will require a minimum of 3-5 years in a quality related role and a bachelors degree in a quality related field. The purpose of this role is to be responsible for executing and sustaining quality systems, processes, and performance within the site or assigned areas of responsibility. This role ensures product and process quality through effective problem solving, data analysis, audit participation, and cross-functional collaboration. The QE serves as a key contributor to quality execution, owning assigned responsibilities and delivering accurate, timely results that support site and regional objectives. This role builds the foundation for expanded ownership, cross-site coordination, and leadership capabilities required for progression into the Lead Quality Engineer role.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required in: Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
• Possess or willing to obtain at least one quality-related certification (e.g., CQE, CQA, Green Belt) within the first year of employment.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a quality assurance or quality control role within a manufacturing environment including hands-on inspection using standard measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM).
• Working knowledge and practical application of quality management systems and tools (e.g., ISO 9001, SPC, Control Plans, Root Cause Analysis, basic Lean/Six Sigma).
• Experience participating in problem-solving efforts to address internal, supplier, or customer quality issues.
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain to support resolution of quality concerns.
• Experience collecting, analyzing, and interpreting quality data to identify trends and support decision-making.
• Requires lifting and carrying of materials weighing up to 45 pounds, as well as pushing and pulling forces consistent with company safety limits.
• Ability to travel up to 10% - Domestic

Responsibilities

• Investigate internal, supplier, and customer quality issues, supporting timely containment, resolution, and follow-through to closure.
• Lead or contribute to structured problem-solving efforts (e.g., RCA, 8D), ensuring effective corrective and preventive actions are implemented and sustained.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Customer Service) to resolve quality issues and improve process performance.
• Monitor, analyze, and report quality metrics, ensuring data accuracy and identifying trends that require action or escalation.
• Execute and sustain site-level quality processes, ensuring compliance with established standards, procedures, and work instructions.
• Prepare and communicate data analysis results, providing clear insights and recommendations to support quality and process improvement.
• Apply and maintain Statistical Process Control (SPC) systems, including defining parameters, analyzing results, and supporting operator understanding as needed.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to improve product quality, reduce variability, and enhance efficiency.
• Contribute to FMEA development and updates, supporting risk identification and mitigation in product and process design.
• Participate in internal audits and support external audits, ensuring documentation accuracy and alignment with quality standards.
