About The Position

Avery Dennison Corporation is seeking a skilled machine operator or lead to step into a production leadership role as a Working Production Team Lead on the 3rd Shift. This is a hands-on position where you will balance machine operation with team leadership responsibilities, including coaching team members, driving safety and quality, and troubleshooting production line processes. The role involves operating production machinery, supporting administrative tasks, driving root-cause problem solving using ELS/Continuous Improvement tools, guiding team members on standard work and SOP adherence, and coordinating shift activities. You will also serve as backup for the Team Manager when needed.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED
3+ years manufacturing/production experience
Strong troubleshooting background on production machinery, set-ups, and changeovers
Experience with 5S, Standard Work, or Lean manufacturing
Completed or willing to obtain ELS White/Yellow/Green Belt
Proficient with basic computer programs (Excel, Word, Google Workspace, MFG PRO/ERP)
Ability to periodically lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Split time between operating production machinery and supporting daily administrative and shift handoff tasks.
Drive root-cause problem solving using ELS/Continuous Improvement tools to keep operations safe, lean, and efficient.
Guide team members on standard work, SOP adherence, machine set-ups, and changeovers.
Assist manager with performance feedback.
Coordinate shift activities and cycle counts.
Serve as backup for the Team Manager when needed.
