About The Position

The Manufacturing Process Lead partners with other leads and/or the Production Team Leader to coordinate resources based on the production schedule and standards. This role involves troubleshooting schedule changes throughout the shift, training team members, and ensuring they are properly trained and certified in various aspects of their jobs, including 6S, MDI, SLMS, Safety, Quality, and Preventative Maintenance. The lead will understand and execute hourly attainment and production schedules, collaborate with support staff when necessary, and act as the first line of defense for troubleshooting equipment, quality, and process issues. They will maintain, expose, and document problems through the MDI process, provide real-time feedback to employees on productivity and quality, and drive a culture of safety, positivity, and collaboration. Additionally, the role involves identifying and supporting continuous improvement projects within the area to enhance safety, quality, and productivity. Meeting work schedule and overtime requirements, including weekends, is essential.

Requirements

  • Required High School Diploma or GED
  • Three (3) years of relevant manufacturing experience

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years of relevant manufacturing experience
  • Previous leadership experience

Responsibilities

  • Partners with other Manufacturing Process Leads and/or Production Team Leader to coordinate resources in the area based on production schedule and standards.
  • Troubleshoots schedule changes throughout the shift.
  • Trains team members in the responsible area and ensures they are properly trained/certified in all facets of their job to include but not limited to (6S, MDI, SLMS, Safety, Quality, Preventative maintenance).
  • Understands hourly attainment of responsible areas and executes to the requirements.
  • Obtains and executes to the production schedule.
  • Collaborates and pulls in support staff, after appropriately investigating issues, as needed.
  • Acts as the first line of defense for troubleshooting including, but not limited to, equipment, quality and process issues.
  • Maintains, exposes, and documents problems through the MDI (Managing for Daily Improvement) process.
  • Provides real-time feedback to employees on productivity and quality.
  • Drives a culture of safety, positivity and collaboration within the team.
  • Identifies and supports continuous improvement projects within area including safety, quality and productivity.
  • Meets work schedule and overtime requirements, including weekends.
