About The Position

The Manufacturing Process Engineer is responsible for developing, improving, and implementing efficient, cost-effective manufacturing processes that meet product specifications, quality standards, and production goals. This role drives process optimization, supports new product introductions, and collaborates cross-functionally to ensure successful manufacturing and assembly operations while promoting continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of subtractive manufacturing processes, including but not limited to machining, milling, turning, chemical processing, and electrical manufacturing methods.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication techniques, and assembly operations.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing equipment, tooling, and production systems.
  • Proficient in engineering drawing interpretation, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) for both English and Metric standards.
  • Knowledge of inspection methods, measurement systems, and quality assurance techniques.
  • Experience with engineering and productivity software, including SolidWorks and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Commitment to workplace safety, environmental compliance, and regulatory standards.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of manufacturing engineering or process engineering experience with direct involvement in the development and production of mechanical components.
  • Experience supporting machining, fabrication, assembly, or related manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, process improvement, and NPI activities is highly desirable.
  • 3 years manufacturing engineering experience with direct involvement in the development and production of mechanical components.
  • College degree or equivalent is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, ensuring a smooth transition of new products and engineering revisions into manufacturing and assembly operations.
  • Identify, develop, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), work instructions, manufacturing procedures, material records, redline drawings, process documentation, and engineering drawings from solid models.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve manufacturing, engineering, production, and quality-related issues, escalating concerns when appropriate.
  • Provide technical support to machining, fabrication, assembly, and quality teams to ensure efficient daily production operations.
  • Analyze manufacturing processes and recommend improvements to reduce costs, improve throughput, and enhance product quality.
  • Develop and deliver operator training related to manufacturing processes, equipment, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, supply chain, and production teams to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
  • Support special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.
