Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of Planner/Scheduler and/or Buyer experience in a common ERP system
  • Strong communication skills; experience dealing with multiple levels of employees and across departments
  • Positive mindset with high energy and ability to self-manage
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as logical thought process
  • Desire to learn and to continue developing knowledge and skills
  • Highly skilled with computers and Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Flexible in performing assigned duties
  • Ability to present and train on complex information to a variety of audiences

Nice To Haves

  • Extremely knowledgeable with Epicor ERP system
  • Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) accreditation or other relevant certification is advantageous
  • Experience working in a fabrication manufacturing environment
  • Ability to interpret Shop/Part drawings

Responsibilities

  • Maintain production, work, and shipment schedules, and prioritize job orders for production optimization - combine, edit, firm, release, and print all jobs for manufacturing team
  • Investigate production problems to address supply/demand issues and make appropriate corrections or engage in productive problem solving with the appropriate department contact
  • Assist others on the manufacturing team to modify jobs (adding/removing operations and/or material), when necessary, and completing/closing jobs as needed
  • Collaborate with Logistics Department to review shipping schedule to identify and resolve material/ERP/schedule risks
  • Company ERP specialist – point of contact for ERP issues and questions
  • Running MRP
  • Manage Cycle Count program
  • Entering, scheduling, and rescheduling sales orders
  • Resolve issues in the Planner Workbench (supply/demand, invalid part/rev, consolidate jobs, etc.)
  • Adhere to company standards and production policies to meet company objectives
