The Manufacturing Planner is responsible for implementing, monitoring, measuring and reporting production schedules to ensure that materials and capacities are available to meet the needs of customers. This role involves managing planning and production execution data, including work orders, prioritization, capacity constraints, and production monitoring. The planner will implement an effective capacity management and production monitoring system, maintain MRP planning and scheduling parameters for 'make' items, and analyze planned order reports to provide timely release of production work orders. The position requires interfacing with production teams and procurement specialists to prioritize items, identify and resolve production demand and supply imbalances, and provide daily guidance to the Product Line team on production schedule status. The Manufacturing Planner will also prepare and communicate shortage and backlog reports, monitor production progress, identify and report opportunities for improvement, and report scheduling, capacity, and production tracking data. The role emphasizes using the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement.
