About The Position

Mercury Plastics is hiring a second-shift Manufacturing Operator in Middlefield, Ohio. The role works in a team environment loading products and materials into equipment and containers, counting and packing products, and ensuring quality while meeting expected output. No prior experience is required; training is provided.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with a pay rate of $17.00 per hour. The Manufacturing Operator reports to an Area Manager and Shift Lead to meet production and quality goals.

Requirements

• No prior experience is required; training is provided.
• Must be able to stand and walk for the full shift.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
• Must be able to twist, pull, push, kneel, and bend.
• Must be able to identify quality variances visually.

Responsibilities

• Load or insert products into various machines and activate the machines.
• Unload, visually inspect, and pack products.
• Maintain cycle times to meet or exceed minimum rates.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they comply with quality specifications.
• Pack finished parts for shipment, which may include using packaging tape.
• Keep equipment and the work area clean.
• Know and follow OSHA and Mercury Plastics safety rules.
• Read and interpret work instructions.
