This role is responsible for manufacturing products and components according to specifications, drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), work orders, and/or run schedules. The operator will perform setup and change-over operations for assigned equipment, including die and metal steel coil change-overs. A key aspect of the role is ensuring product specification and quality by adhering to established procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and maintaining proper settings and quality standards. This involves verifying product quality through inspection, observation, and measuring work pieces, and adjusting machine/equipment performance as needed. The operator will also troubleshoot machinery, equipment, and product issues when quality or specification standards are not met, or if equipment is not operating properly. The role requires the use of hand and power tools, cranes, and other material handling devices. Additionally, the operator will fabricate and assemble sectional and rolling door sections and component materials, and perform operator preventative maintenance according to the equipment/machinery schedule.
