Located in Strongsville, the 110+ employee facility (100,000 sq. ft.) is one of Héroux-Devtek’s centers of excellence for the final assembly of landing gear. As part of the Central Division, you will lead P&L responsible for critical machining operations of major commercial aircraft programs such as the Boeing 777 and Embraer E-2, and important military programs such as F-18, F-35, C-17 and C-130. With a strong focus on latest technology of manufacturing processes with machining automation and techniques we aim to remain the best value producer of complex landing gear components.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing engineering environment.
  • Possess a solid foundation in manufacturing engineering practices and processes.
  • Computer software literacy. (Office, Catia V5, Microsoft Project)
  • Candidates must meet security screening requirements as set out by ITAR directives.

Nice To Haves

  • Preference in the aerospace industry.
  • Familiarity with BaaN or SAP a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Formulating manufacturing process plans by using Bills of Material, Project Development Schedules, and Operation Detail Sheets.
  • Investigating the entry of the above into the MRP system – BaaN.
  • Reviewing Contract Review forms for accuracy to the quote.
  • Liaising with customers regarding part revision changes and informing pertinent departments by incorporating these changes into the Master Process Plan.
  • Initiating the design and purchase of fixtures, special tools and handling equipment required.
  • Developing rework schemes.
  • Studying and improving the manufacturing process by monitoring quality, cycle times and methods of operations.
  • Working with operators on the floor to develop solutions or process improvements.
  • Document & maintain traceability in accordance with all quality standards, such as AS9100 and NADCAP.
