Located in Strongsville, the 110+ employee facility (100,000 sq. ft.) is one of Héroux-Devtek’s centers of excellence for the final assembly of landing gear. As part of the Central Division, you will lead P&L responsible for critical machining operations of major commercial aircraft programs such as the Boeing 777 and Embraer E-2, and important military programs such as F-18, F-35, C-17 and C-130. With a strong focus on latest technology of manufacturing processes with machining automation and techniques we aim to remain the best value producer of complex landing gear components.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing engineering environment.
Possess a solid foundation in manufacturing engineering practices and processes.
Computer software literacy. (Office, Catia V5, Microsoft Project)
Candidates must meet security screening requirements as set out by ITAR directives.

Nice To Haves

Preference in the aerospace industry.
Familiarity with BaaN or SAP a plus.

Responsibilities

Formulating manufacturing process plans by using Bills of Material, Project Development Schedules, and Operation Detail Sheets.
Investigating the entry of the above into the MRP system – BaaN.
Reviewing Contract Review forms for accuracy to the quote.
Liaising with customers regarding part revision changes and informing pertinent departments by incorporating these changes into the Master Process Plan.
Initiating the design and purchase of fixtures, special tools and handling equipment required.
Developing rework schemes.
Studying and improving the manufacturing process by monitoring quality, cycle times and methods of operations.
Working with operators on the floor to develop solutions or process improvements.
Document & maintain traceability in accordance with all quality standards, such as AS9100 and NADCAP.
