About The Position

SPX Technologies builds innovative solutions for a safer, more efficient, and sustainable world through its platforms in HVAC and Detection and Measurement. As part of HVAC Cooling, SPX Cooling Technologies is a leader in high-quality industrial HVAC equipment. The Manufacturing/Materials Expeditor will manage the administrative functions for aftermarket component sourcing, planning, and buying. This role involves material procurement and direct-ship components to support aftermarket pass-through and manufacturing orders. The incumbent is responsible for issuing work orders/purchase orders and expediting associated materials to meet production schedules and sales order ship dates.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years experience
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong skills in SAP or other ERP system
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to understand the relationship between customer needs and order fulfillment process
  • Proactive problem solving skills and initiative
  • Ability to quickly and accurately process high volumes of transactions
  • Ability to effectively manage rapidly changing priorities without compromising quality or thoroughness
  • Strong sense of accountability and ownership

Nice To Haves

  • Manufacturing and/or logistics experience preferred
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and fulfilling orders through multiple distribution channels preferred

Responsibilities

  • Receive, review, and approve purchase orders.
  • Process standard orders through the system (QTC to SAP).
  • Schedule and align shipping dates to minimize deliveries and optimize on-time shipping.
  • Issue work orders/purchase orders to satisfy sales order demands.
  • Reconcile internal order holds and help resolve contract issues.
  • Prioritize orders based on customer need and plant capacity.
  • Communicate shipping and delivery instructions with plant and field sales.
  • Handle customer service calls regarding orders.
  • Provide shipment notifications to customers and representatives.
  • Communicate delays to respective customers.
  • Resolve expediting issues with suppliers, plants, and warehouses.
  • Process supplemental shipments due to wrong or missing items.
  • Follow up on all orders to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Identify areas impacting on-time shipping and work collaboratively to rectify.
  • Support Rep and Inside Sales teams to satisfy QMS action items.
  • Work with Shipping, Planning, and other departments in the plant environment.
