About The Position

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Manufacturing Manager (K Level) to join our dynamic Operations Management Team located in Heath, OH! You will join a growing team responsible for leading, developing and executing business plans. During the daily execution of leadership responsibilities, you will interface with multiple organizations throughout the Boeing Company.

Requirements

  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR completion of the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
  • 3+ years of experience working in or supporting a manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of experience developing and implementing process improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment
  • Willingness to work variable shifts as needed to support program needs
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership or management role
  • Experience using LEAN Manufacturing and/or Continuous Improvement practices and tools

Responsibilities

  • Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines
  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies
  • Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct report
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees
