About The Position

The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and controlling the activities of personnel engaged in the assembly, test, and support of new and refurbished products. This role is accountable for product quality, manufacturing efficiency, operational performance, staffing, and continuous improvement initiatives while supporting organizational goals for safety, delivery, scalability, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of manufacturing management or supervisory experience in a complex manufacturing environment, preferably involving electro-mechanical or hardware-based products.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop manufacturing personnel in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven problem-solving skills with proficiency in Excel or equivalent tools; ERP/MRP experience preferred.
  • Experience with manufacturing process improvement, root cause analysis, and Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Candidates must reside within commuting distance of our Boulder, CO office.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or other technical field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant manufacturing leadership experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage manufacturing process plans, including staffing, resources, equipment, tooling, and floor space requirements, to support production and operational goals for designated manufacturing areas.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to production methods, workflows, equipment utilization, product quality, and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Coordinate staffing and manufacturing capacity requirements by adjusting personnel, processes, schedules, and equipment to meet customer demand, company objectives, and financial targets.
  • Monitor manufacturing metrics and operational data to identify trends, drive corrective actions, and improve safety, quality, throughput, and cost performance.
  • Analyze and resolve manufacturing and personnel issues, including assisting employees with troubleshooting work-related problems and escalating cross-functional issues when necessary.
  • Supervise, coach, train, and develop manufacturing personnel while promoting accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain compliance with company procedures, safety requirements, and internal/external audit standards, including quality and regulatory requirements as applicable.
  • Ensure manufacturing equipment, tools, and work environments remain operational, safe, ergonomic, and appropriate for production needs.
  • Partner with engineering, quality, supply chain, warehouse, and service teams to support new product introduction (NPI), sustaining manufacturing activities, and process improvements.
  • Support development and execution of manufacturing strategies related to operational scaling, process standardization, and capacity planning.
  • Maintain and improve manufacturing documentation, work instructions, training processes, and operational procedures.
  • Support capital equipment planning, manufacturing resource allocation, and facility improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in audits, operational reviews, and customer visits as required.
