About The Position

Responsible for machine operation and changeover activities to achieve and maintain world-class quality. The role performs work safely, efficiently, and accurately to maintain and improve plant performance in Safety, Quality, Reliability (SQR), and the Customer 1st strategy. It provides leadership embodying the Kroger Manufacturing High Performance Work System principles and demonstrates the company’s values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. The position is on-site at 2840 Pioneer Dr, Bowling Green, Kentucky, and is full-time, hourly.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Effective written communication skills, including legibility.
• Basic math skills.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous food manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety procedures, including wearing required personal protective equipment.
• Safely operate and maintain the assigned machine and related equipment to meet daily orders.
• Complete safety observations when assigned.
• Read and follow standard work for the assigned machine and follow standard work processes.
• Verify proper components at the workstation before beginning a job.
• Monitor product to ensure quality standards are met or exceeded.
• Complete the applicable “If down, do” list when conditions dictate.
• Complete required paperwork and documentation accurately and legibly.
• Maintain reliable attendance, including overtime as needed.
• Keep the work area clean and orderly.
• Actively participate in Total Process Control activities.
• Work around ingredients and/or finished products known to contain food allergens.
• Follow established programs, policies, and practices to produce safe, quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements.
• Remain accountable to Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles.
• Perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
