About The Position
Dal-Tile is seeking motivated and dependable individuals to join its El Paso Manufacturing Team. The Manufacturing Machine Operator operates production equipment, monitors production parameters, inspects or tests products for conformance to specifications, records data, and decides when to adjust the process or contact supervision for guidance. Shift preferences may be discussed during screening, but availability depends on current and future staffing needs. Night shifts include additional hourly differentials.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Good oral communication skills.
- Good listening skills.
- Ability to understand and speak basic English.
- Routinely work at a height requiring fall protection.
Nice To Haves
- One year of manufacturing experience.
Responsibilities
- Operate production equipment according to standard operating procedures.
- May work as a sorter, box assembler, or relief operator for the kiln or automatic sorting equipment.
- Conduct tests or inspections required by the control plan and applicable test methods.
- Perform additional tasks documented in the job task check sheet.
- Stop production equipment when safety, quality, or mechanical problems prevent its use or prevent conformance to product requirements.
- Follow ISO operating procedures and maintain specified quality checks.
- Monitor equipment or processes and report problems to a supervisor.
- Keep the work area safe, clean, and organized.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Benefits
- Additional $1.00 per hour night shift differential for B Shift.
- Additional $1.50 per hour night shift differential for D Shift.
