About The Position

Thermacell is seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Line Operator to join their growing manufacturing business. This role involves operating manufacturing equipment, assembling packaging, inspecting materials, and performing warehouse functions. The position reports to the Manufacturing Management Team and is a non-exempt status with working hours from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with potential for extended hours during busy seasons and occasional Saturdays. The role is based in Buford, GA.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma/GED
  • Mechanical Skills including mechanical comprehension, mechanical knowledge, and basic electronics
  • Experience working in a Manufacturing environment
  • Experience operating packaging equipment
  • Self-starter and fast-learner, ability to be proactive/plan accordingly
  • Ability to manage and deliver multiple simultaneous priorities
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand/walk for 8 to 12 hours
  • Ability to read and comprehend production order requirements.
  • Basic math skills
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed. Overtime may be prior to and/or after scheduled work hours (including weekends)
  • Driver's License required
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States on a full-time basis.

  • Proficient in base Microsoft programs: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Setting up and operating production lines, assembly machines, conveyors, and packaging machinery
  • Completing productivity reports detailing the number of parts or products made during each shift
  • Adhering to all manufacturing standard operating procedures
  • Performing Quality Control checks including inspecting and testing finished products for defects and quality assurance
  • Developing and adhering to equipment centerline and running line standards
  • Following equipment and process troubleshooting methodologies (e.g., Why-Why, 5W+2H) and making basic equipment repairs
  • Ensuring adherence to manufacturing key performance indicators
  • Performing production assembly operations
  • Utilizing RF gun/scanning systems and interacting with tracking systems
  • Ability to perform change overs and make process adjustments
  • Meeting company productivity and quality standards
  • Loading and unloading trucks
  • Maintaining a clean work area to ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Adhering to established safety policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned
