About The Position

Skydio is hiring interns for the Summer 2027 season. The Hardware Ops - Quality team supports manufacturing quality to ensure Skydio production meets rigorous customer requirements. As an intern on the quality team, you will help define and develop quality standards and practices for internal teams and current and future products in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Be a junior, senior, or MS-level student in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Previous intern experience with SolidWorks, data analysis, or related work.
• Understanding of quality principles, including PFMEA, DFM, DFA, and stack-up analysis.
• Ability to clearly articulate problem statements and perform root-cause analysis.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including effectiveness in cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to debug complex issues and propose effective solutions.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Databricks and SQL.
• Experience building with AI tools, such as Claude integrations.

Responsibilities

• Root-cause and resolve quality yield issues and customer-facing product quality concerns.
• Define, measure, and improve quality metrics and analytics.
• Evaluate product performance and reliability, as well as factory quality systems.
• Work with engineering teams across Skydio.
• Take ownership of work and operate autonomously.
