Requirements

  • Ability to read a tape measure and calculate basic math.
  • Ability to stand for long shifts and repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to follow safety rules and wear required PPE daily.
  • Reliable transportation and a strong attendance record.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work well independently.
  • Good problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Ability to stand and walk for the duration of their shift on the manufacturing floor.
  • Frequent use of hands to inspect incoming materials and check documentation.
  • Capability to occasionally lift and move materials weighing up to 40 lbs.
  • Strong visual focus to read production schedules, match order labels, and identify missing items or material shortages.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with team members and supervisors in a loud manufacturing setting.
  • Must be able to wear all required PPE, such as, but not limited to steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and hearing protection throughout the duration of the shift.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial assembly environment.
  • Familiarity or hands-on experience with pneumatic hand tools, power drills, and commercial woodworking machinery.
  • Experience operating basic material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, or industrial carts.
  • Basic understanding of lean manufacturing concepts or experience participating in 5S and continuous improvement activities.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret a tape measure accurately to cut wood, sheet goods, and raw materials according to precise production specifications and cut lists.
  • Operate manual and pneumatic power hand tools (such as sanders, drills, and staple guns) to execute repetitive production line assembly operations for medium-sized cabinetry components.
  • Identify and select appropriate materials, fittings, hardware, and specialized tools required for each scheduled fabrication task.
  • Unload, stack, and stage assembly materials safely across the shop floor to ensure uninterrupted material flow to active workstations.
  • Conduct rapid visual and physical inspections to sort products, identify surface or structural defects, and verify that all assemblies meet strict company quality standards.
  • Maintain a steady, rapid production pace under close supervision to achieve daily throughput targets.
  • Utilize hands, arms, and legs to safely handle, position, flip, and move cabinetry components and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the shop floor.
  • Promote and maintain a collaborative team environment aligned with company values, safety principles, and operational goals.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and availability to work irregular hours, extended shifts, and mandatory overtime as production demands dictate.
  • Clean and organize the assigned work area daily, adhering to strict facility housekeeping and safety guidelines to minimize airborne dust and hazards.
  • Cross-train willingly in different workstations and departments (such as cutting, assembly, or finishing) to support changing plant layout and operational needs.
  • Display a positive, “Can Do” attitude, acting as an active participant and change agent in continuous improvement initiatives.
