About The Position

This position plays a critical role in sanitation for Baldwin Richardson Foods. Performs COP (Clean out of Place) and automated and non-automated CIP (Clean in Place) of all fillers, process systems and equipment. Observes all safety rules and regulations for self and others. Ensures 100% compliance with required plant training programs and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position will support our 3rd shift team, Monday-Friday 3:00PM- 11:30PM.

Requirements

One year of experience in a Janitorial/Facilities Maintenance role.
High School Diploma, or equivalent required.
Experience using chemicals/solutions required for deep cleaning processes (preferred).
Must have ability to function both inside and outside in all types of weather.
Medium to heavy work requiring prolonged or repeated standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting (must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.).
Requires basic knowledge of janitorial procedures.
Due to SQF regulations, all employees must be able to fluently read, write, and converse in the English language.

Nice To Haves

Basic mechanical knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

Restocking appropriate supplies needed for production such as soap at hand washing stations and chemical sprays in sanitation areas
Utilizing floor scrubber machine to clean production floor
Assist with spill clean ups in a timely and safe manner
Maintaining 5S throughout production floor
Occasional use of compactor/bailer
Thorough cleaning and sanitizing of drains
Empty garbage containers within manufacturing areas
Assist in maintaining and participate in the Baldwin Richardson Foods Recycling Program.
Monitor building and grounds to ensure a neat and clean presentation and environment.
Follow all written and verbal instructions.
Ensure all supplies are stored in appropriate areas.
May complete grounds maintenance duties such as removing snow, ice and debris.
Maintain tools and equipment in a clean, orderly and safe manner.
Ensure security of building during and after completed jobs and report any security violations to management.
Report the need for any major repairs to Manager/Supervisor.
Report and repair emergency maintenance problems and/or environmental hazards immediately.
