Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in operations management or a related field from an accredited university or college or high school diploma.
  • 3 to 7+ years of experience in manufacturing, including supervisory or leadership roles.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and safety standards.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising daily production activities to meet output, quality, and delivery targets.
  • Monitoring production processes and adjusting schedules or resources to maintain efficiency.
  • Ensuring optimal utilization of materials, equipment, and workforce.
  • Leading, coaching, and developing production operators and technicians.
  • Conducting performance evaluations and supporting employee development.
  • Promoting a positive, engaged, and accountable team environment.
  • Managing staffing levels and shift coverage to meet operational needs.
  • Enforcing safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conducting safety audits and supporting incident investigations.
  • Driving a culture of safety and continuous risk reduction.
  • Ensuring compliance with product quality standards and specifications.
  • Supporting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions for quality issues.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies (5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma).
  • Tracking and improving KPIs such as productivity, scrap rates, and downtime.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Quality.
  • Providing regular updates on production performance, risks, and issues.
  • Supporting production planning and scheduling activities.
  • Maintain knowledge of new developments and technologies of Lufkin and other manufacturers’ equipment to provide the highest standard of service.
