About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineering Technician will be responsible for programming, troubleshooting, and supporting manufacturing equipment. This role involves diagnosing and resolving issues with manufacturing equipment, tooling, and processes to minimize downtime and support production needs. The technician will collaborate with Engineers and Operations throughout the product lifecycle, from concept development to production implementation. Key duties include assisting in the design, fabrication, installation, and maintenance of tooling, fixtures, and production equipment, as well as creating and updating standard work instructions and process documentation. The position also involves supporting process validation, participating in continuous improvement projects, training production employees, and supporting production launches and engineering trials. The technician will collect and document information, communicate findings to relevant teams, and assist with CNC manufacturing support, with a willingness to learn CAD/CAM software. Adherence to safety policies and maintaining a clean work area are essential.

Requirements

Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally across departments.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Hands-on mechanical aptitude and comfort working directly with manufacturing equipment.
Ability to safely use power tools, hand tools, and manufacturing equipment.
Basic troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root cause thinking skills.
Team player with the ability to work well with Engineering, Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Operations personnel.
Willingness to learn new technologies, equipment, software, and manufacturing processes.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum of two (2) years of work experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
A combination of education, technical training, and/or relevant work experience equivalent to two (2) years will also be considered.

Nice To Haves

Ability to read and interpret work instructions, technical documentation, and basic engineering drawings preferred.
Experience with robotics, automation, CNC equipment, CAD/CAM software, or manufacturing process improvement is beneficial.
Technical degree, certification, or coursework in Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Technology, Engineering Technology, Robotics, CNC Machining, or a related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

Program, troubleshoot, and support manufacturing equipment.
Diagnose and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment, tooling, and process-related issues to minimize downtime and support production needs.
Communicate with Engineers and Operations to support activities from concept development through production implementation.
Assist in the design, fabrication, installation, and maintenance of tooling, fixtures, and production equipment.
Create, update, and maintain standard work instructions, process documentation, and manufacturing procedures.
Assist with process validation activities and support the successful implementation of new or changed manufacturing processes.
Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, productivity, cost reduction, and waste elimination.
Train production employees on new equipment, processes, tooling, fixtures, and work instructions.
Support production launches, process changes, engineering trials, and equipment runoff activities.
Collect information, document issues, and communicate findings to engineering, production, quality, and maintenance teams.
Assist with CNC manufacturing support and demonstrate a willingness to learn CAD/CAM software to help support CNC programming activities.
Follow all company safety policies and maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
