About The Position

Within our organization, the Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor is responsible for the upkeep and improvement of all assembly production equipment. This role drives continuous improvement of processes with input from Industrial Engineers, Controls Engineers, Operators, and Management. The Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor is recognized as a strong leader, capable of leading technically while demonstrating advanced problem-solving skills. This role will mentor and lead members of the Manufacturing Engineering Team, including interns. Supervisors are also expected to effectively manage projects of greater complexity and magnitude, often with higher levels of risk.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or a related field). An Associate’s degree will be considered with 8+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role in manufacturing (required).
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of and experience with assembly equipment.
  • Previous experience in industrial machine debugging.
  • Vision/Camera systems experience (required).
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a group of 8–10 Engineers while remaining hands-on in technical work.
  • Complete staff evaluations, coverage planning, time reporting, and KPI reporting.
  • Assist with machine breakdowns and drive manufacturing process improvements.
  • Develop and upgrade Poka Yokes to ensure robust manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure engineers are fully integrated within the overall production support team.
  • Provide technical feedback on new launch programs.
  • Delegate and track tasks effectively to ensure timely completion.
  • Support the team in resolving machine and process issues as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and OEMs to ensure quality design standards.
  • Work with external suppliers and component providers.
  • Troubleshoot electrical testers (connectivity, CAN/LIN) and torque controllers (Stanley, Atlas Copco, or similar).
