About The Position

As a Senior Supervisor Manufacturing Engineering at MKS Broomfield, you will partner with production manufacturing, operations, planning design engineering and quality to oversee the planning, development, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing methods, processes and operations for new and existing products. In this role, you will report to the Senior Manager of Manufacturing Operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of related experience in manufacturing operations leadership experience
  • Technical & Engineering Skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to escalate issues appropriately
  • Ability to manage performance, attendance, and conflict fairly
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated project & change management experience
  • Consistent enforcement of safety rules and safe work practices
  • Solid understanding of quality standards, inspections, and defect response

  • Master’s Degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop, standardize, and continuously improve manufacturing processes
  • Lead Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Optimize cycle times, labor utilization, and material flow
  • Ensure processes are scalable, repeatable, and cost-effective
  • Manage and mentor manufacturing/process engineers and technicians
  • Set priorities, allocate resources, and conduct performance reviews
  • Build technical depth, problem-solving capability, and leadership skills within the team
  • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement
  • Specify, justify, and implement new equipment, tooling, and automation
  • Drive capital projects from concept through installation and qualification
  • Improve OEE, uptime, and maintainability in partnership with Maintenance
  • Evaluate make/buy decisions and automation ROI
  • Reduce manufacturing cost through waste elimination and process optimization
  • Support cost-down initiatives (labor, scrap, rework, materials)
  • Improve throughput and capacity planning to meet demand
  • Track and report KPIs (scrap, yield, OEE, cycle time, cost per unit)
  • Act as the manufacturing engineering interface with: Operations / Production, Quality, Supply Chain & Sourcing, Program Management, Finance (capex, cost models)
  • Align engineering priorities with business and production goals
  • Own and maintain manufacturing documentation: Work instructions, Process flows, Routings, PFMEAs and control plans
  • Drive standard work across lines, cells, or sites
