Join our manufacturing engineering team as a Supervisor in Manufacturing Engineering, where you will lead and develop a team of engineers while contributing to the execution of key manufacturing and operational initiatives. This role is responsible for supervising Manufacturing Engineer roles and strengthening the overall Manufacturing Engineering function. You will play a critical role in driving process consistency, improving operational performance, and supporting the continued growth and scalability of the site. As a leader within the organization, you will provide technical direction, set priorities, and ensure effective execution of engineering activities across production and project-based work. You will partner closely with Operations, Quality, R&D, Procurement, and Supply Chain to implement sustainable manufacturing solutions, improve efficiency, and maintain high standards of quality and performance. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines team development, technical problem-solving, and ownership of initiatives that directly impact manufacturing outcomes.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma/GED required
  • 7+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or operations
  • 2+ years of experience leading or supervising technical teams, including coaching and performance management
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive organizational change
  • Experience in establishing or improving engineering processes and standards
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and process optimization
  • Experience with manufacturing process development, NPI, and production support
  • ERP experience
  • CAD and data analysis experience
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
  • SAP preferred
  • Experience scaling manufacturing operations or supporting site growth initiatives (Preferred)
  • Experience with automation or semi-automated manufacturing systems (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of SPC, CAPA systems, and quality systems (Preferred)
  • Experience developing training programs and mentoring engineers (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach, and develop Manufacturing Engineer roles, including hiring, onboarding, and performance management
  • Establish team objectives, metrics, and performance expectations aligned with site goals
  • Drive accountability for deliverables, timelines, and results across the team
  • Develop training plans and skill matrices to support cross-training and continuity
  • Provide hands-on technical support for complex manufacturing challenges and high-impact projects
  • Lead and prioritize Manufacturing Engineering activities aligned with operational and strategic objectives
  • Drive standardization of manufacturing engineering processes, tools, and best practices
  • Lead Manufacturing Engineering support for New Product Introduction (NPI), including DFM and process qualification
  • Own manufacturing readiness for new and existing products
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for production and quality issues
  • Ensure effective implementation of engineering change orders (ECOs) and change control processes
  • Drive supplier-related manufacturing engineering activities including validation and first article inspections
  • Drive measurable improvements in FPY, scrap reduction, cycle time, and equipment performance
  • Implement structured problem-solving and ensure consistent application across the team
  • Support capacity planning and scalability initiatives aligned with site growth
  • Partner with Operations, Quality, R&D, Procurement, and Supply Chain to implement sustainable manufacturing solutions
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve manufacturing performance and efficiency
