About The Position

The Manufacturing Supervisor at New Generation Wellness is responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations in support of the company’s supplement production. This position ensures operational efficiency, adherence to quality and safety standards, and coordination of schedules and resources to meet production goals. The Manufacturing Supervisor will lead a team of manufacturing professionals and collaborate with planning and quality teams to deliver products on time and in compliance with cGMP standards. The Manufacturing Supervisor also plays a critical role in the execution of new product launches by coordinating operational readiness, managing pilot production runs, and ensuring timely scale-up from concept to commercial manufacturing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
  • cGMP regulations and SOP documentation.
  • Production scheduling, planning, and coordination.
  • Quality control procedures and deviation handling.
  • Team leadership and staff development.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in the supplement or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of cGMP and FDA manufacturing regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Finger Dexterity: Required for computer operation and equipment handling.
  • Talking: Regular communication with staff and cross-functional teams.
  • Average Hearing: Necessary to respond to instructions and audible safety signals.
  • Repetitive Motions: Common during computer use and inspection tasks.
  • Average Visual Abilities: Required for monitoring equipment and reviewing documentation.
  • Physical Strength: Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and remain on feet for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all activities follow cGMP guidelines and SOPs.
  • Partner with Quality Assurance to maintain compliance and resolve issues.
  • Conduct and support audits, batch reviews, and root cause investigations.
  • Oversee the Master Planner to align staffing and production schedules.
  • Monitor resource allocation to maintain production flow and minimize downtime.
  • Supervise, train, and develop manufacturing staff and leads.
  • Conduct performance reviews and mentor team members.
  • Maintain cross-training programs and ensure workforce flexibility.
  • Implement, monitor, and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess productivity, quality, and team performance.
  • Oversee and provide data input for variance trackers such as the manufacturing RFT, Variance, break-time trackers, direct labor Deacom entries, etc.
  • Use KPI data to guide decision-making and drive continuous improvements in manufacturing and packaging processes.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to optimize throughput and reduce waste.
  • Promote Lean manufacturing principles and a culture of operational excellence.
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) initiatives to identify and correct recurring production issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize best practices and reduce variability in manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with maintenance to identify root causes and prioritize equipment uptime.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain to plan and execute new product introductions, ensuring operational feasibility, resource availability, and production timeline adherence.
  • Lead various meetings within the scope of manufacturing such as the production right first time, 8:30 metrics meeting, etc.
  • Responsible for deploying lean manufacturing tools and applicable continuous improvement methodology such as 5S, Kaizen, root cause analysis, standard work, visual management to reduce waste, improve workflow and increase overall production efficiency.
