In this position: Seeking candidate to fulfill an opening as a Vehicle Manufacturing Engineering (VME) Final Assembly Engineering Vehicle Hardware Module (VHM) Supervisor. Selected candidate will be responsible for leading a team working on forward model programs from <PS> until P-Release. Candidate will be responsible for providing F&T costs for their respective programs, performing DPA5 assessments, developing scope of works and PFMEAs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive the highest level of quality while minimizing cost. A strong leader with a data driven mindset is needed to lead this team and deliver these objectives.

Requirements

  • B.S. Engineering degree required
  • 5 years+ experience in Final Assembly Process & Tooling Development
  • Extensive knowledge of the Final Assembly Process
  • Understanding of the locator strategy and DVA analysis
  • Familiar with Team Center, GSPAS, and GMOD
  • Working knowledge of Ford Procedures, Cost Studies, Discrete Simulation, Throughput Analysis, Business, and Strategies
  • Prior launch experience and/or VHM leadership
  • Leadership and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • leading program cost studies from <PS> until <PA> (support <MR> studies as required) for their VHM(s);
  • manage all aspects of the DPA5 process from UN/P0 until UN/PV2 or UP/P0 until UP/PV2
  • develop process sheets in GPSPAS and PFMEAs;
  • define control methods to support the Control Plan;
  • develop scope of works for new tooling
  • execute P-Release;
  • collaborate with colleagues in MSAP, APD and PD to resolve product design and manufacturing issues quickly;
  • incorporate new technologies and automation into the DPA5 process to improve delivery and quality;
  • collaborate with the Strategies Team to incorporate new standard assembly processes, tooling, and facilities that accommodate new technologies or efficiency improvements;
  • drive labor efficiency and complexity reduction where possible during the review of new content/features development;
  • Support GMRs are incorporating new technologies;
  • Driving the locator dimension strategy for all future model programs.
  • Support special assignments and on-site program reviews
