About The Position
To assist in supporting manufacturing processes, improving production efficiency, and contributing to the development and implementation of manufacturing methods in accordance with Pride’s procedures and protocols.

- Pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering related field
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now, or in the future
- At least in the equivalency of successfully completing Sophomore year of college before starting the internship
Nice To Haves
- Pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering Technology preferred
- Provide approval documents from their college or university to receive college credit preferred
- Related project or internship experience in manufacturing, production processes, or process improvement preferred
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing principles such as 5S, Kaizen, or continuous improvement initiatives preferred
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, assembly methods, and production workflows preferred
- Familiarity with ERP or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) preferred
- Ability to lift/push/pull 40 lbs. preferred
- Ability to provide examples of process improvement, workflow optimization, or manufacturing-related projects preferred
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions preferred
- Current or previous successful internship experience with Pride Mobility Products Corporation preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist engineers with improving and supporting manufacturing processes, assembly methods, and production workflows
- Assist with troubleshooting production issues and implementing corrective actions to improve quality and efficiency
- Support prototype builds, pilot runs, and transition of new products into production
- Assist in developing and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs) and work instructions
- Assist with process documentation, time studies, and workflow optimization initiatives
- Support continuous improvement activities including Lean Manufacturing initiatives
- Assist with fixture design, tooling improvements, and basic manufacturing support equipment
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective/preventative action processes
- Assist with component inspection, testing, and validation activities as required
- Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents, or injuries are promptly reported to management
- Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment
- Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations
- Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary
